Patty Larkin
With 11 studio albums and two live recordings under her belt, Patty Larkin has been described as “riveting” (Chicago Tribune), “hypnotic” (Entertainment Weekly), and “drop-dead brilliant” (Performing Songwriter). She has captivated audiences for more than 30 years, and her latest album, Bird in a Cage, sets poems by William Carlos Williams, Robert Pinsky and Kay Ryan, among others, to song – the hot spark of one artist collaborating with another.
Patty’s recent projects include Still Green, an album written in a dune shack on the Outer Bank of Cape Cod’s National Seashore, and 25, a retrospective album that includes contributions of 25 friends covering her songs, including Grammy award winners Rosanne Cash, Suzanne Vega and Janis Ian as well as acclaimed singer-songwriters like Bruce Cockburn, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Greg Brown. Patty was also the executive producer of the groundbreaking La Guitara, a compilation of women guitarists actively changing preconceptions about gender and guitar heroes.
