Heather Mumford is a Boston-based musician and performance artist. In addition to her solo career as a performer and song writer under the pseudonym Little Microscopic Clouds, Heather has participated in various non-traditional performance groups, including several ukulele acts, which helped establish her as part of Boston’s underground ukulele movement since its humble beginnings. The Heather Mumford Project is the latest collaboration by a group of seasoned musicians, led by Heather on vocals, uke and fiddle, with: Gary Kemp (vocals, resonator guitar); Dan Discenza (vocals, dobro); Sam Kendall (vocals, mandolin); and Harry Wolfson (double bass).Their music is a beautiful Americana harmony of Country, Bluegrass, Folk and Blues. Come for the pickin’ & grinnin’ – and playing the blues so sad, you’ll cry.
First Church and Parish Dedham Unitarian Universalist was first gathered in 1638 and is located in Dedham Center at 670 High Street. Its lively music program includes its choir at Sunday services and the Parish Players theater troupe in addition to our Friday Folk Coffeehouse events. In addition, music lovers are invited to attend the First Friday Jazz & Classical Concert series in the historic Meeting House, produced in conjunction with Dedham School of Music, founded in 2008, so as to provide an environment for people of all ages, abilities, and means to learn, play, and enjoy music.
