SUMMARY:Pamela Means at Harmony on the Green\, Kim Moberg opens
DESCRIPTION:Harmony on the Green is thrilled to present a fantastic evening with two of Boston’s pre-eminent talents\, award winning singer/songwriters Pamela Means and Kim Moberg. \nPamela Means is an Easthampton MA-based\, multiple award-winning\, singer-songwriter and jazz musician. Protest anthem writing\, Biracial\, Queer\, Artist-Activist and\, “one of the fiercest guitar players and politically-rooted musicians in the industry today\,” (Curve Magazine) – who’s worn a hole in two of her guitars – with her “insanely brilliant” (Press Herald\, Portland ME) and “stark\, defiant songs.” (New York Times) \nOpening for Means is Kim Moberg\, whose rich vocals\, described as “a blend of honey and whiskey”\, gently guide listeners through her musical stories while her compositions tug at feelings of melancholy\, heartbreak\, healing and social consciousness. Moberg is an Alaska native\, who suffered a lifetime of debilitating stage fright. In 2014 she set out to overcome that stage fright and wrote her first song. Kim teamed with Grammy nominated producer Jon Evans to record three albums\, all receiving critical acclaim and charting on the Folk Alliance International DJ charts. Kim’s third release “The Seven Fires Prophecy Suite for Humanity” (2023) is an original 8 song suite that tells the ancient yet relevant Anishinaabe legend “The Seven Fires Prophecy”. Her newest project “All That Really Matters” addresses the arc of human emotion from loss and betrayal to prejudice and melancholy to the most important – love. \nHarmony on the Green is wheelchair accessible from our front door on Massachusetts Avenue. Once inside there is an elevator up to Clark Hall. We have single user accessible bathrooms on the first floor and next to the hall. Ample free parking including accessible spaces are available in the back of the building\, and there is parking on both sides of Mass Ave with one or two accessible spots. We also have two additional accessible parking spots on the side of the building. Doors open at 7 p.m.
