SUMMARY:Fiddler\, singer and songwriter Kathleen Parks
DESCRIPTION:Kathleen Parks is a fiddler\, singer\, and songwriter who brings joyful and creative energy to the stage and studio. \nHer writing leans toward Pop\, Folk\, and classic Jazz\, while her virtuosic fiddle blends and reimagines traditional and modern musical styles with boundless groove\, and a playful improvisational spirit. \nHer deep grounding in Celtic and American roots music blends with her love for pop songwriting\, funk rhythms\, soulful vocals\, and groove-based improvisation\, making every performance unexpected yet familiar: a musical journey from beginning to end. \nFor Kathleen\, music is not about perfection\, but feeling.   This is what has always driven her to write\, sing\, and play. Without feeling\, why play music? Music is a means to express and release our emotions. Understand the feeling\, move the energy\, and bring joy and healing in. Connection to yourself is key to playing\, to playing with others\, and moving an audience. Kathleen strives to always bring this musical value to her teaching and performances alike. \nKathleen is also a founding member of Twisted Pine and the duo Kat and Brad. \n“Goosebump-inducing vocal performances from Kathleen Parks…”– Glide Magazine – \nSee kathleenparksmusic.com for more info. \nTickets are $20 in advance at Eventbrite.com and $25 on the day of the concert.  Doors open at 7:00 and the show begins at 7:30. \nClick to buy tickets now.

SUMMARY:David Dodson
DESCRIPTION:David Dodson writes great songs that run the gamut of American styles—folk\, rock\, blues\, jazz and country. His songs cover a variety of topics and range from poignant to hilarious. He plays a mean guitar\, tells a good story\, sings like a bird\, and he’s got rhythm. Who could ask for anything more? \n“The Farthest Field\,” a favorite among singing groups of all kinds\, has been included in “Rise Again” (the second edition of “Rise Up Singing”) and other song books. David was inspired to write this song by a gathering of friends\, singing\, high up in a beautiful field in northern Vermont. \nDavid\, who lives in Camden ME\, was also a New Folk winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival. \nLearn more about David at daviddodsonmusic.com \n“An eyes-twinkling\, word-twisting\, pretension-shattering wit that delighted and surprised the crowd all night.” ~ Boston Globe \n“David Dodson is without a doubt one of the most entertaining performers on the folk scene today. A versatile songwriter\, David’s songs range from witty and hilarious\, to romantic and poignant. But what sets him apart is his uninhibited physicality. You will go home smiling.” ~ Paul Hoffman\, The Rug Room Coffeehouse \n  \nTickets are $20 in advance at Eventbrite.com\, and $25 on the day of the show. Doors open at 7 PM and music begins at 7:30. \nTo buy tickets\, visit Eventbrite.com \n

SUMMARY:High Tea Band
DESCRIPTION:High Tea is a Massachusetts-based “y’alternative” folk-punk duo with a unique blend of soulful harmonies and powerful guitar riffs. Lyricist\, guitarist and vocalist Isabella DeHerdt and percussionist and vocalist Isaac Eliot craft songs that are ripe with Americana heartbreak\, telling tales of growing up\, going wild\, and always coming back to the ones you love. \nPraised by the Boston Globe for their ability to “delve into the intimacies and intricacies of growing up\,” High Tea’s music resonates with audiences through its raw emotion and storytelling prowess. WBUR’s Amelia Mason notes their distinct vocal styles that “momentarily melt into one” during their harmonies. \nWith DeHerdt’s “raw and powerful voice” complemented by Eliot’s unadorned tones\, High Tea promises an evening of heartfelt performances that blend old blues\, new rock\, and intimate personal experiences. \nDoors open at 7:00 and the concert starts at 7:30. SUMMARY:A capella quartet Windborne
DESCRIPTION:The New Revival Coffeehouse proudly presents renowned a cappella quartet Windborne on April 27\, 2024. \nAudiences and critics lavish praise upon the singers not only for their technical mastery\, but for the passion\, engagement\, and connection with each other and the audience that imbues each performance with a rare power. \n“The best musical discovery of the year…stunningly powerful. Windborne sets a new bar for harmony singing today!” NPR \n “…subverting expectations and redefining the genre [of vocal music]… just absolutely phenomenal!” BBC Traveling Folk \nBut there’s another\, crucial dimension to Windborne that guides and roots their artistry. They are adherents to folk music’s longtime alliance with social activism\, labor and civil rights\, and other movements that champion the oppressed\, the poor\, and the disenfranchised. Their songs burst with lyrics that\, while penned decades or centuries ago\, still ring true in modern times\, and Windborne’s dynamic harmonies breathe new life into these songs. \nTickets are $20 in advance at Eventbrite\, and $25 on the day of the concert.  Doors open at 7:00 and the concert begins at 7:30.

SUMMARY:Heather Maloney in Concert
DESCRIPTION:The New Revival Coffeehouse will present renowned vocalist Heather Maloney at a live concert on Saturday\, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. \nThe Massachusetts-based “writer song-singer” found music in the midst of three years at a meditation center\, honing a sound moored in days of silent reflection and reverence for storytellers like Joni\, Rilke\, Ken Burns\, and the anonymous authors of Zen parables.  \nAnd while she eventually traded the quiet\, structured life as a yogi for the kinetic life a touring musician\, the core of her songwriting remains centered around the same curiosity about our inner world and the desire to articulate it through storytelling. \nHeather has toured nationally as a headliner as well as in support of acts like Lake Street Dive\, Shakey Graves\, Gary Clark Jr.\, Colin Hay\, Mary Chapin Carpenter\, and many more. The New York Times called her music “utterly gorgeous\, visceral” and SPIN Magazine described her as “stunning\, breathy\, and starkly memorable.” \nAfter over 1\,000 live shows and more than a decade of touring\, Heather Maloney released her first live album\, “No Shortcuts-Live at the Academy” in June. Recorded with a soaring string quartet\, No Shortcuts is a recording of the interaction\, presence and joy that only unfolds in real time\, when real live music and real live people share a real live space together. \nAs well as a songwriter and performer\, Heather is an illustrator and linocut artist who carves and prints visual representations of her songs on a variety of mediums. She considers the integration of music and art to be an inspiring new chapter as a creative person. \nThe New Revival Coffeehouse is at First Parish Church of Stow and Acton\, 353 Great Road in Stow MA 01775.  Tickets are $17 in advance at eventbrite.com and $20 the day of the concert. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30.  Masks are optional. \nFor more information\, see heathermaloney.com \n  \n
