SUMMARY:Pamela Means at Harmony on the Green\, Kim Moberg opens
DESCRIPTION:Harmony on the Green is thrilled to present a fantastic evening with two of Boston’s pre-eminent talents\, award winning singer/songwriters Pamela Means and Kim Moberg. \nPamela Means is an Easthampton MA-based\, multiple award-winning\, singer-songwriter and jazz musician. Protest anthem writing\, Biracial\, Queer\, Artist-Activist and\, “one of the fiercest guitar players and politically-rooted musicians in the industry today\,” (Curve Magazine) – who’s worn a hole in two of her guitars – with her “insanely brilliant” (Press Herald\, Portland ME) and “stark\, defiant songs.” (New York Times) \nOpening for Means is Kim Moberg\, whose rich vocals\, described as “a blend of honey and whiskey”\, gently guide listeners through her musical stories while her compositions tug at feelings of melancholy\, heartbreak\, healing and social consciousness. Moberg is an Alaska native\, who suffered a lifetime of debilitating stage fright. In 2014 she set out to overcome that stage fright and wrote her first song. Kim teamed with Grammy nominated producer Jon Evans to record three albums\, all receiving critical acclaim and charting on the Folk Alliance International DJ charts. Kim’s third release “The Seven Fires Prophecy Suite for Humanity” (2023) is an original 8 song suite that tells the ancient yet relevant Anishinaabe legend “The Seven Fires Prophecy”. Her newest project “All That Really Matters” addresses the arc of human emotion from loss and betrayal to prejudice and melancholy to the most important – love. \nHarmony on the Green is wheelchair accessible from our front door on Massachusetts Avenue. Once inside there is an elevator up to Clark Hall. We have single user accessible bathrooms on the first floor and next to the hall. Ample free parking including accessible spaces are available in the back of the building\, and there is parking on both sides of Mass Ave with one or two accessible spots. We also have two additional accessible parking spots on the side of the building. Doors open at 7 p.m.

SUMMARY:Abbie Gardner - Jenna Nichols opens
DESCRIPTION:Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for those age 18 and under. Visit oldslooppresents.org\, John Tarr Store in Rockport\, or The Bookstore of Gloucester. The suggested contribution at the door is $25 for adults\, $5 for those age 18 and under\, and $50 for families. \nTickets and more information\nAbbie Gardner is a fiery dobro player with an infectious smile. Whether performing solo or with Americana harmony trio Red Molly\, her acclaimed tales of love and loss\, both gritty and sweet\, are propelled by her impeccable lap style slide guitar playing. Solo performances feature the dobro as a solo instrument\, bouncing between a solid rhythmic backbone and ripping lead lines\, all in support of her voice and songs. Her latest recording\, DobroSinger\, hit #11 on the Billboard Blues Chart. It’s intimate\, real and raw – her dobro and voice recorded at the same time at home\, without a band or any studio tricks to hide behind. You can hear every breath\, every chuckle\, as if you are in the room with her. \nHailing from the small town of Irwin\, PA\, Jenna Nicholls set her sights east to test her wings as a songwriter and performer. Initially trying Boston\, she ultimately gravitated to the creative hotbed of Manhattan’s Lower East Side where she forged lasting friendships with other like-minded artists and musicians. Nicholls made three albums on her own dime: Curled Up Toes in Red Mary Janes\, The Blooming Hour\, and Radio Parade. The albums revealed a restless muse and a theme that would be a constant for Nicholls: a love of vintage music – anything from classic music films like “Singin’ in the Rain” to Bessie Smith.
