Joe Crookston, a gifted songwriter, guitarist, painter, fiddler, slide guitar player, eco-village member and believer in all things possible. In 2016 he was named Folk Alliance International Artist-in-Residence.
Joe’s songs are universal, historical, humorous, and mystical. Several songs are being made into movies. His first album Able Baker Charlie and Dog went to #1 on the folk-acoustic DJ charts.and was named Album of the Year (2008) by International Folk Alliance. The song Blue Tattoowas made into a documentary film honoring the life of Dina Jacobson. There is a trailer for Brooklyn in Julyon his website. His rhythm is infectious and with the lyrics and voice, Joe’s the whole real deal who gains new fans at every show when he tours the USA, Ireland, and Canada. The Linden Tree Coffeehouse is located in the social hall of the Unitarian-Universalists Church of Wakefield, 326 Main St. Wakefield.
The show begins at 8pm, doors open at 7:30. Homemade baked goods and beverages are available. Tickets are $20 (those under 18 $10) thanks to support in part to the Mass Cultural Council, Wakefield Chapter.
