Singer-songwriter Kristina Vaughan is a French singer-songwriter based in Paris. Her music explores the art of loving in songs that evoke running water, broken cliffs and angry skies. Her influences are such fine musicians as Sinead O’Connor, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Damien Rice, French chansonnier Léo Ferré or the Parisian anglophone spoken word scene. Kristina is usually accompanied onstage by various musicians, most faithfully by cellist-backup vocalist Marie Potosniak and by drummer-percussionist Nicolas Derolin.
The band has performed in Parisian venues such as jazz club Sunside-Sunset and La Bellevilloise. However, for this, her first tour of the U.S., she will be performing solo, accompanying herself on keyboard and guitar. More information is on her website at www.kristinavaughan.com. She will be joined by poet David Barnes, host and founder of biggest spoken word night in Paris.
