A Fall Music Festival at the Linden Tree Coffeehouse.. Oct. 14th

The Linden Tree Coffeehouse invites area residents to a Fall Music Festival on Saturday, October 14 at 8pm. Three Americana music groups will perform songs that are perfect for pumpkin weather.   Help us welcome Hungrytown, Crowes Pasture, and Black Water Moon to Wakefield.

After more than a decade of world-wide touring and three album releases, Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson, known as the folk duo Hungrytown, have earned a reputation for the quality and authenticity of their songwriting. Rebecca and Ken play a delicious blend of acoustic based folk music with harmonies to die for. Often delicate, often reflective, their music comes from the heart and the soul. Their latest album Further West is an album of journeys, journeys of the heart as well as the miles.

Crowes Pasture is the Boston-based acoustic duo of Monique Byrne and Andy Rogovin. The duo brings leather and lace harmonies to classic and contemporary folk music in a style that draws from old-time, folk and bluegrass traditions, including such artists as Gillian Welch/David Rawlings, Ian & Sylvia and the Civil Wars. The duo’s eponymous full-length self titled CD was released in May of 2016, and made the list of Top Folk Albums of June 2016 as compiled on Folkradio.org.

Trish DeCaprio and Michael Whitney were long time friends and band mates when they formed Black Water Moon. Trish and Michael blend their individual instrumental and vocal talents that complement each other beautifully. Pure, true, and honest, Black Water Moon’s music traverses the genres of Bluegrass, Roots Americana, Pop, Rock, Swing, Blues, Country, and Celtic. The duo will entertain with interesting original compositions and creative interpretations of covers.

The Linden Tree Coffeehouse is located in the social hall of the Unitarian-Universalists Church of Wakefield, 326 Main St. Wakefield.

The show begins at 8pm, doors open at 7:30. Homemade baked goods and beverages are available. Tickets are $20 (those under 18 $10) thanks to support in part to the Mass Cultural Council, Wakefield Chapter.
